Dr. Kerns is a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist as well as a Certified Stress Management Coach. She teaches in the Counseling Psychology Program at Argosy University in Los Angeles, and is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), and the OrangeCounty & Los Angeles Chapter of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (OCCAMFT & LACAMFT).
Graduate Education
- Graduated from CGI of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology earning her Doctorate in Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage, and Family Therapy in 2009.
- Served on the Graduate Student Association Committee as Irvine Representative
- Doctoral Dissertation, A Jungian Oriented Treatment Plan for Mid-life Women’s Liminal Phase Transition into Mid-life, - Developed a treatment plan that was intended to serve as a guideline for therapists to follow, as they worked from a Jungian orientation.
